Environmental tree-planting

The SENKO Group launched an environmental tree-planting program to plant seedlings on the grounds of its logistics centers and other facilities in FY2020 in an effort to preserve biodiversity.

The initiative, which aims to foster growth of greenery that can be passed on to the next generation, also helps improve workplace communication while contributing to the local community.

Initiatives to protect oceans

We support the initiatives of Osaka Umisakura, an NPO based in the Osaka area, and we’ve cooperated with other companies and organizations to participate in ocean conservation activities in Osaka Bay and the Seto Inland Sea.

As part of those efforts, we cooperate with a program that raises a type of seaweed known as eelgrass in pots before returning it to the sea to foster marine life. After employees grow the seaweed from seeds at home, the seedlings are transplanted to shallow waters in Osaka Bay. We also help with ecosystem surveys in the Seto Inland Sea.
