Children’s Picture Book Project

The SENKO Group has been conducting a drive to deliver picture books to children since 2018.

The initiative collects picture books that are no longer needed by employees and their families and donates them to child welfare facilities, regional nursery schools, and other facilities. Thanks to the cooperation of the Group’s employees, the drive collected a total of 732 books, including 207 from eastern Japan and 525 from western Japan.

The books were donated to five child welfare facilities in Osaka and six nursery schools in Tokyo.

Traffic Safety Park for Children

The Traffic Safety Park for Children opened at Crefeel Koto, SENKO’s traffic safety training facility, in 2016. The park has attracted numerous child visitors. In addition to helping visitors experience the importance of traffic safety, and park introduces the logistics infrastructure that underpins society.

Traffic safety classes for children

We began offering traffic safety classes for children, which teach children traffic safety knowledge for protecting themselves from traffic accidents, in FY2007. In addition, a program offering on-site instruction at elementary and junior high schools has been ongoing since FY2015. Students have fun as they learn about topics such as how to use crosswalks safely and the hazards lurking in cars’ blind spots.

Support for working women

Hosting women’s professional golf tournament

In addition to cosponsoring LADY GO, which helps create an environment in which female professional golfers can continue to compete, we hosted the SENKO Group LADY GO CUP at the Group’s Gamo Golf Club (in Hino, Gamo-gun, Shiga Prefecture) in October 2023.

We are working to support a society characterized by gender equality and to take steps to help transform awareness, for example by putting in place an environment that enables golfers with children to focus on the tournament by offering childcare space at the venue as a way for the Group to help women lead remarkable lives as they grow older and to increase opportunities for them to flourish as individuals through the tournament.
